In the second and third quarters of 2011, supply disruptions held back overall new car sales, including
sales into rental feets. This year marked a return to
���normal.��� Sales into rental are projected to top 1.5
million units in 2012, a level that hasn���t been achieved
since 2008. While sales have been trending upward,
don���t expect a return to sales of 2 million units in
years to come. Those days are long gone.
